Neymar moved from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain for a staggering fee of €222 million in August also Kylian Mbappe joining him in Paris for €145m plus €35m in bonuses. As a result, Neymar is now the most expensive player of all time, smashing the previous record held by Paul Pogba, who arrived at Old Trafford for €105m. His record with Paris Saint Germain is fifteen goals with nine assists in just seventeen appearances, showing tremendous value in the player, and fans hope he could be the key to help Paris Saint Germain win their first Champions League trophy this season.

2. Kylian Mbappe

The 18-year-old striker followed the footsteps of Neymar by joining Paris-Saint Germain  from initially on a loan deal at the moment. Mbappe was the subject of intense transfer speculation all summer but Paris Saint Germain has a purchase clause in the deal, making his arrival on a permanent basis next summer. He is expected to become the world’s second most expensive player, with the deal reported to be as much as €180 million. His current record with the Paris Saint Germain is ten goals with seven assists in just twenty-one apperances. He too shows potential of a great young player, creating a dynamic duo with his new teammate Neymar.

Ousmane Dembele becomes the most expensive player in FC Barcelona’s history after signing a 105 million dollar five-year deal with a 45 million add-on with the Catalan club. Dembele, only 20 years old, showed great performances for his former club Borussian Dortmund which sparked FC Barcelona’s attention to sign Dembele. During his showcase, over 17,000 fans gathered at the Camp Nou to catch a glimpse of the player, however fans question whether he will be able to fill the void of Neymar. Demebele has only made two apperances for the club, having experienced a tragic hamstring injury during his third apperance. He will join the Catalan club in late December to face Real Madrid in an El Classico match. Let’s hope this 20 year old multi-millionaire could be the next face of FC Barcelona, after Lionel Messi is gone.

Romelu Lukaku became the fourth most expensive player for combined transfer fees his from Everton to Manchester United. Lukaku is set to fill the boots of released striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the Swede suffered a long-term knee injury. Lukaku has already made twenty-five apperances for Manchester United with thirteen goals and four assists.With his current statistics,  fans believe he was the best candidate to take Zlatan’s position as a forward striker.

Alvaro Morata moved to Chelsea from Real Madrid in a 70 million dollar deal. Morata signed a 5 year contract with Chelsea, becoming the most expensive signing with the transfer fee surpassing the 49.7 million. Morata has already scored seven goals in the Premier League for Chelsea after he was given the role of replacing Diego Costa moved back to his orginal club Athlethico Madrid.
