The Leonia High School school store is one of the highlights of some students’ day. They get to converse, buy snacks, and buy merchandise. Although the school store is already very popular and organized there are a lot of options to make it even better. Making it better would not only benefit the school but it could benefit the students. Students go to school 8 hours a day 5 times a week, this is like our second home, having variety and options in the school store would give the school day some extra flavor.

First off, having more options to pay with besides cash would improve the school store.  Many people complain about not having cash and having to skip meals since many people would rather bypass the cafeteria.

Sophomore Juliette often complains, “Always having cash is impossible, I wish they had apple pay.”

Most students’ way of getting money is through online transactions like, Apple pay, Cash app, and Paypal. People don’t carry cash 24/7, it’s close to impossible for students to remember since they have a lot on their minds.

More variety of food would also make the school store more popular. Although we already have a lot of snacks, most of them aren’t fulfilling. Some snacks that would make students full are Lunchables , Trix Yogurt, and Kid Cuisine. Another student mentioned,”If there were more snacks like then I would probably go there more.”

Furthermore, more merchandise should be included in the store. If we had more varieties, for example, sweatpants, yoga pants, or even jeans sold at the store, people would probably buy it more. Ms. O’Neill the marketing teacher in charge of the school store states that, “If the school approves it, I’m okay with it. I would love to add more things to the store for the students.”
