The Shooting Star Organization will host a Vocational School Fair for families of special needs students on December 15, 2016 at Leonia High School.
After high school, it is common for students in special programs to move on to a four year vocational school for ages 18 to 21, traditionally known as transitional schools. The Shooting Star Fair will provide an opportunity for parents to gather information to decide which school is best for their child.
Representatives from transitional schools in New Jersey will be present to distribute information and answer questions about their programs. The fair is open to the public.
The Shooting Star Organization will also sponsor a scholarship for three students headed to transitional schools. To enter your student in the scholarship lottery, please register at www.shootingstarfair.com and confirm your attendance in person at the fair.
The Shooting Star Organization was created by Leonia High School seniors Maite Rodezno and Jenny Cho to inform parents of special needs students about continuing education opportunities for their children after high school.
